Who We Are
St. Paul’s is a member of the Episcopal Church in The Episcopal Church in Connecticut which is part of the world wide Anglican Communion. We are a Church which follows the teachings of Jesus Christ and, as part of our anglican heritage, we are connected back to Christ and the early church.
We are a trinitarian church and believe that God is known in the three persons of the Trinity — the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost as expressed in the Apostles, Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds.
As part of our anglican heritage we believe in the “Three Legged Stool”— Holy Scripture, Tradition, and Reason
We Believe
- Holy Scripture is the inspired living word of God which is at work in our prayers, preaching, and daily lives
- Tradition is important and celebrated through the rites and sacraments of the Church as expressed in The Book of Common Prayer
- Reason is a God-given gift which informs one’s understandings of Holy Scripture and Tradition
Our Mission
"We share God’s love, serve our community and care for the world around us"
