Update on Sunday Worship - November 13, 2020

Dear people of St. Paul's,
As we know the pandemic has sadly come back in full force to our community and nation. Greenwich has now moved into the Red Zone where all indoor community activities are to be postponed (See COVID-chart). We have been incredibly blessed to have inside worship this Fall which has nourished us in the Word and Sacrament. However based on the current status in Town and our own Re-opening Team's recommendation, we will be cancelling 8AM worship in the church. I understand that this may be a disappointment as our worship together has felt particularly life-giving this Fall. At the same time, I understand that our commitment to loving one another means that we take every step necessary to protect all those around us and ourselves.
Socially distanced worship outdoors at 10:15 will continue as long as the weather permits and as long as the congregation continues to participate. I've been inspired and energized by all of you who continue to show up on Sunday morning worship. I am equally grateful to those who, for important reasons, choose to stay home. Please do know we will continue to video our outdoor services.
The week's ahead may present unexpected challenges, through it all we know that God is with us. As a community of faith we will experience moments of hope and new life, even in uncertainty. I leave you with this final blessing from the Northumbria Community:
"The peace of God be over me to shelter me, under me to uphold me, about me to protect me, behind me to direct me, and ever with me to save me."
May God's peace be with you,
Stephanie
