Prayer of Love
Check-out the picture...even the deer want the playground to be opened! As a reminder, St. Paul's will continue to be extremely cautious in any of our re-opening of the property, consistent with State and CDC recommendations. Church in the Meadow gives us a lovely, safe way to reconnect as we worship God, The upcoming concerts will provide a safe, socially distanced evening. Thursday Evening Prayer via zoom allows people to worship together in the safety of their homes. We continue to be a community even in the midst of physical separation.
And on this holiday weekend when we may normally be out in large groups or crowds, this year we can continue to model love of self and neighbor by socially distancing and wearing our masks. So this 4th of July I commend to you this prayer of love for all people from the Book of Common prayer.
"Lord God Almighty, you have made all the peoples of the earth for your glory, to serve you in freedom and in peace: Give to the people of our country a zeal for justice and the strength of forbearance, that we may use our liberty in accordance with your gracious will; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen"
