Meet Our New Curate - the Rev. Eric Fialho
Please join us Sunday, September 15th to meet (if you haven’t already) and earn a bit about our new Curate.
Eric was born in Salem, Massachusetts, and has lived there for most of his life. He received his undergraduate degree in history, and concentrated in colonial and puritan histories. He began following a call towards ordained ministry while an undergraduate, and upon graduation, began studying at the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge where he received his Masters in Divinity in 2017.
Rev. Eric is a avid lover of the arts, and he dabbles in 35mm photography, 8mm filmmaking, drawing, and painting. He is also a lover of all things mid-century and has a collection of vintage typewriters which he still uses. Perhaps as a result of growing up in America's "Witch City" he has also has a strong love of Halloween and for reading and writing Ghost Stories-M.R. James is his favorite author.
Rev. Eric met his fiancé Emily while working at an historic home of a Witch Trial's Judge when studying history. The two have been together for five years and are to be married in September. On speaking about his new ministry with St. Paul's Rev. Eric said, "I am truly overwhelmed with both joy and excitement to serve as Curate. I thank the Parish for giving me this opportunity to offer my gifts for ministry alongside all of you. I look forward to being with you all soon!"
