God is with us as God has always been
Dear People of St. Paul's,
We've been incredibly blessed since the end of June with fair weather to hold our Sunday morning worship with only one service rained out. Participation in our outdoor worship has been extremely high. In fact, attendance has been higher and more constant than a typical summer and early Fall.I believe this is an acknowledgement that when we gather together we are strengthened, by God, for life's journey. We delight to be safely out in God's creation with traditional worship offering solace and comfort, hope and joy.
As the weather turns chillier, we are adapting yet again to a new circumstance to gather in worship with the 8AM indoor worship via registration only. Click HERE to register. With an abundance of caution, we can accommodate up to 45 people with social distancing, masks and restricted movement in the church.Windows will be open plus new air filters have been installed for the HVAC system. We will continue outdoor worship at 10:15, weather permitting.
A hybrid of on-line and in person offerings continues with a program nearly every weekday. Thursday Evening Prayer and Tuesday Bible study continues on zoom. Wednesday Morning Meditation in the Memorial Garden and Friday morning yoga in the Meadow offers additional ways to connect with God. Sunday morning Children's Formation continues outside as does Middle School Youth Group. Sunday morning Discovery Hour continues at 9:30 inside the building, by the area near the Library. We have welcomed back into the building two small AA groups also meeting in the area outside the library. They will be following all COVID precautions.
Staff are working also in a mix at home and in the office. While the office is no longer open to drop in for a chat, staff and clergy are certainly more than eager to meet with parishioners. Please just contact us in advance or give us a call.
I am so appreciative of the leadership of this congregation, under the guidance of Senior Warden Holden Sibley, Junior Warden Christine O'Neill, and Treasurer Chris Carter, the entire vestry plus the re-opening team which continues to provide steady, thoughtful responses in this uncertain time. We face our future faithfully and confidently, knowing that God is with us as God has always been.
With joy and gratitude,
