Collaboration and Community Offerings
St. Paul's has quietly - and quite effectively - been working with and within our community to bring some new offerings this fall. Through the work of many, St. Paul's has positioned ourselves as a strong resource and community partner. Here's a recap of our upcoming happenings:
Global Philanthropy Leaders - This Sunday, October 20, begins a journey for our high school students who want to make a difference in the world. Partnering with Christ Church Greenwich, our youth will meet monthly through the year, learning how to make micro-loans in developing countries to support small business owners and entrepreneurs. In addition to gaining new financial and global knowledge, the teens will learn how faith can shape financial decision-making. Our kids will each make a personal connection with someone in a developing country; they will make a difference in our world.
Blessing of the Pets - A community favorite for humans and furry friends, St Paul's will once again host a special afternoon for our pets. Sunday, October 27, please join us at 2:00 pm for blessings, fun, a few barks, and a costume parade. Historically, this is attended by as many neighbors and friends as St. Paul's parishioners. Come help us welcome them!
Theology on Tap - Partnering with Diamond Hill Methodist Church, parishioners are invited out monthly for a meal and an exploration of a wide range of thought-provoking theological issues. "Who is God? What is Truth? Can I be progressive and a Christian?" Join us, bring a friend, make a new one. The Little Pub in Cos Cob will be our venue, gathering at 7:00pm on the 2nd Mondays of the month starting in November.
A Journey to the Holy Land - St. Paul's and St Barnabas will trek across the globe together for a 12-day experience in the Holy Land. Please contact Rev. Stephanie is you would like more details on this opportunity. The trip will take place May 10-21, 2020.
Plus... This summer we used our beautiful meadow for the first annual Family Campout, again in September for Mass on the Grass, and again in October for Movie in the Meadow and a collaborative St Michaelmas celebration with St. Saviour's Church and their School of Dance. For each activity in the Meadow, we invited our neighbors to join us.
