Mission & Purpose
St. Paul's Day School, a member of the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), welcomes students of all faiths and backgrounds. We foster the growth and development of each child academically, socially and spiritually. By encouraging children's natural curiosity and sense of wonder, we provide a foundation for a lifelong joy of learning. Through a rich interdisciplinary approach, our program prepares students to confidently and successfully enter the next stage of learning.
We believe developing a child's independence and self-confidence is a way to help him or her grow academically and socially. Children are taught to respect one another and the staff, and grow emotionally through friendship. We encourage the student's entire family to be involved in the social life of the school through a variety of events and special activities. St. Paul's Day School is committed to being a school that welcomes students of all backgrounds and faiths. We celebrate our diversity. We believe happy and involved students, and their families, enrich both the school and the greater community.
St. Paul's Day School offers a loving and creative program full of individual attention and group dynamics for boys and girls aged two through four/five years old. Under the watchful supervision of understanding adults, children are encouraged to explore and learn to their fullest potential.
Sponsored by St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Riverside, the school is non-sectarian and stresses the Judeo-Christian values of a positive attitude and respect for one's peers.
Each day children are offered opportunities to explore arts and crafts, singing, instrumental music, creative rhythms and body movements. A highlight of the year is the annual spring music program put on by the children. In addition, our program helps children achieve pre-kindergarten readiness skills such as recognizing the alphabet, numbers, sizes, shapes, colors and weights. The school maintains close communication with local public and private schools.
