Welcome to the S.P.A.R.K.s!

Sunday School at St. Paul’s

St Paul’s celebrates the gifts that children bring to our church! Our Bible-based, family-oriented Sunday School program brings the stories of our faith to life in a real and engaging way. Using the Workshop Rotation model, children ages 3 through 5th grade experience Bible stories in ways that appeal to every learning style.

All children in the SPARKS program are given their own age appropriate Bibles to use in class and take home. They focus on one Bible story for a period of four weeks, ensuring that they know it inside and out! They, along with their parents, experience the lesson each week through songs and storytelling in the “Storytelling Tent,” followed by a workshop in either Art, Drama, Games, or Movies.  Classes are divided up into the following grades: Pre-K, K-1, 2-3, and 4-5; children rotate with their class to a different workshop each week, until they have experienced learning the story in four different ways. By the end of that time, children are able to tell the story in their own words, and know how it applies to their lives. There is a celebration at the end of each rotation, giving children an opportunity to share what they have been learning with the entire congregation!
